As I’ve gotten older, I’ve made a conscious effort to be a smarter consumer. I tend to buy products that have multiple uses and can serve some purpose once the product inside its container is gone. Enter candles. About two years ago, I had accumulated four or five half-burned candles that would get used once or twice a week. Last year, after yet another move, I vowed to use up these candles before I even thought about buying a new one. The result was four to five empty glass jars, some with lids others without. Today, I’m sharing with you how I’ve repurposed empty candle jars and hopefully inspire you to hold onto your candle jars after they’re done burning.
I had a completely different post planned for today, a drink recipe, but couldn’t come to write it up. I wondered why it was so hard to come up with the words to describe a rather tasty drink. My heart wasn’t in it and frankly it just didn’t seem important today. All I wanted to do when I got up this morning was to continue to lay in bed and alternate between reading a book and watching reruns of Friends. I needed to take care of myself today, which is why this post is coming at you later in the day. Today, I’m sharing with you how you can incorporate little acts of self-care in your routine.
