Why hello there, my little pocket of the Internet. How are ya doin’ on this fine day? I have to say, a lot has happened since I last posted: I finished my junior year of college, started my summer job dabbling in event planning, celebrated a 2-year anniversary with my boyfriend and witnessed bits and pieces of the world and this country mourn. Honestly, the last “thing” has been what has made writing in my Internet space so difficult. Why would anyone care about my favorite makeup items or what I’ve been packing for lunch at work while innocent people are being killed or hurt? Why should anyone care?
I am insanely clumsy. Especially at times when it’s in my best interest not to be – like when handling a hot pan. I blame my subconscious for thinking I’m invincible when really I need to pay more attention to how close my hand is getting to the top of the inside of the toaster oven (by the way, it gets really hot). Around this time last year, I burned my right hand pretty badly from the toaster oven incident and did a lot research trying to figure out how to get the burning feeling to go away. Lucky for you, I have condensed my research and the tips I’ve learned from burning myself (L-O-L) to best alleviate pain and swelling and encourage healing.

I’ve struggled with my acne prone skin for a long time and feel like I’ve tried every skincare range there is under $30. When Tucker’s mom introduced me to the Clear Days Ahead by Philosophy line I was willing to give it a try – it couldn’t be any worse than anything else I have tried, right? I was beyond pleasantly surprised within the first week of using these two products and have incorporated other winning products into my skincare routine. Keep reading for my full review on the Clear Days Ahead gel cleanser and spot treatment and for more information on my full skincare regimen!
While my semester may not be entirely over quite yet (finals are still ahead), it’s safe to say that this semester has taken me for quite the ride. Instead of recapping only April, I decided to switch things up and recap this entire semester and my blogging journey so far. I’d like to preface this post by saying that, in contrast to monthly recaps, this post is going to be much more freely written and chatty, which I hope is a style you enjoy reading. Without further ado, here we go!
