Fear has been weighing very heavily on my heart as of late. The job hunt here in Nashville has been everything but easy – more on that to come in a week or so. But after everything I’ve experienced so far, I finally said to my parents, “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.” I’m writing this post for me, these are words that I want to look back on and remind myself that tomorrow is another day. As you read this post, I hope you save it and use it for similar purposes. Today, I’m sharing with you what got me to my breaking point and how to work with your fear and insecurities to better yourself.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve made a conscious effort to be a smarter consumer. I tend to buy products that have multiple uses and can serve some purpose once the product inside its container is gone. Enter candles. About two years ago, I had accumulated four or five half-burned candles that would get used once or twice a week. Last year, after yet another move, I vowed to use up these candles before I even thought about buying a new one. The result was four to five empty glass jars, some with lids others without. Today, I’m sharing with you how I’ve repurposed empty candle jars and hopefully inspire you to hold onto your candle jars after they’re done burning.
When it comes to movies, I’m one that clutches my favorites very close to my heart and will usually pick from one of those. Along those lines, I usually prefer reruns of Friends, Chopped or Impractical Jokers to putting on a movie, unless it’s Disney of course. That being said, lately I’ve been gravitating more towards movies, my favorites nonetheless. When it comes to ‘girl power’ movies, I like to veer away from overly cliche, romantic comedies because I just don’t enjoy them. Today, I’m sharing with you a selection of my favorite girl power movies that deliver a good kick in the pants.

In middle school, I discovered the YouTube beauty community and quickly discovered my love for makeup and beauty products in general. While some considerable time has passed since those days and my love for beauty products remains with a few caveats. Summer weather makes wearing any extra layers, even if they’re just makeup layers, unbearable. Now that we’re approaching the middle of fall and I can consistently tolerate the feel of makeup again, I’d like to share my current makeup routine with you. I’m always looking for new products – what one product is your favorite in your whole routine?
