As I’ve gotten older, I have really come to appreciate living an organized life. I love my new planner and having an organized computer, but an area that often gets overlooked is a woman’s handbag. How many times have you been standing at the register looking for a pen or cash or a piece of gum for far too long only to realize, minutes later, that you were holding up the line? Don’t worry, I’ve been there too. I now take care in making sure my purse is also organized to avoid more situations like the one described above. Here are my tips for keeping your bag organized.
I will be the first to admit that I am a self-proclaimed sentimental hoarder. It’s quite funny actually. I’ll come across an old friendship bracelet that had fallen off and, while I couldn’t tell you where I got that bracelet, I will insist that it must be important to me (because I’ve kept it for so long) and I’ll toss it into one of my sentimental storage boxes and continue on with my day. In my closet, I have two huge boxes, two smaller boxes and a plastic bag (all seen in the above picture) filled to the brim with various sentimental things. One of the goals on my 101 in 1001 list was to go through these boxes and get rid of what I didn’t need to keep. Here’s what I learned in doing so.
As you may know from reading my reflection on 2015, I experienced a lot, often painful, growth in 2015. I intend to make 2016 a fantastic year in all facets of my life. Since I have changed and grown over the last year, I want to take this time to re-introduce myself and my blog to my readers, both new and old.
I have been interested in makeup since I was very little. I loved how makeup has the potential to completely change how someone looks or beautifully enhance someone’s natural beauty. I went through a phase when I was sixteen where all I bought was makeup – there could never be enough. Since realizing I would rarely wear all of the colored eyeshadows I had accumulated, I have done a massive purge of my makeup stash. That being said, I like to go through my makeup bag every few months to throw out old, rarely used products. I’ve created my own process in order to ensure that I always know exactly what products I have.
